About Me
My name is Taylor and in this photo you can see my husband, Andy and our loving dog, Olive. For the past several years I’ve worked for Nevada as an Atmospheric Scientist. I found myself in this field, partially due to the movie Twister when I was little and wanting to chase tornadoes. But also because I have always believed souls reside in everything and we must care for them. The plants, the rocks, every animal and bug. It feels so important to care for the world because it matters as much as myself. But growing up I was often told I was wrong, too sensitive, or that my efforts wouldn't have an impact. I made a goal as a kid, to dedicate myself to science so others would “have” to listen to me. But unbeknownst to me, I was on a path of inauthenticity. Afraid to simply tell people what I believe and simply study what interested me. I avoided those who understand our ‘oneness’ because society wouldn’t listen to that, right? My education was deeply white-washed which further distanced my oneness and eventually, I forgot my own beliefs or motivations. Over time, I realized I did not dedicate myself to science, I hid in science for reputation, credibility, and security. I became a bundle of anxious attachments, hopelessness, aggression. I fell into depression, anxiety, and unexplainable chronic pain; at a disconnect with myself.
It wasn't until I sought help with Mystic Feminine, that I was able to shift into a person who was honest, compassionate, and found a power in femininity, in softness, in quietness. Brave enough to set boundaries, seek answers within myself, and create supportive relationships. She gave me the space to reflect on what I actually believed about myself and the world, gave me the time to change my limiting beliefs, and tangibly supported me through the process with reiki, shamanic illuminations, and ceremony and ritual. I finally found myself and our oneness again.
This journey was so profound that I am now dedicating my life to another type of environment: the environment of our body and our hearts. A dedication rooted in happiness, love, passion, and understanding.
As a graduate of Sky Spirit Shamans, I am hoping to pass on the same beauty that has been given to me by many I’ve met on this journey. I don't know your story and I don't know what's best for you. But I do know that only by each of us finding our balance and compassion within, can we then find it in the world. I will use my collected wisdom, relationship with spirit, and deep care to help you find your own answers for balance wherever you are in life.
I attended Sky Spirit Shaman’s eighth Allyu starting March 2024 which is a two year program to complete the Munay Ki Rites as well as Reiki Certifications. The Munay Ki is an inspired system of rites correlated with open traditions and practices from lineages in the Andes Mountains. This system of rites is based on love and unity and is created specifically for Western cultural needs, as explained through the Four Winds Society.
I am certified in all levels of Usui/Holy Fire III Reiki and am affiliated with the International Reiki Institute.
I have Sound Bath Facilitator Certification from Intuitive Jen and have co-hosted various personal and group community sound bath events.
I have Indigenous Ally Training from Tribal Trade.
I am certified in Trauma Recovery Yoga.
I have ongoing studies in co-active coaching, meditation and breathing techniques, internal family system models, and attachment styles.
Please note, I am not a licensed therapist nor am I becoming one. People often find great benefits from doing both behavioral therapy and alternative therapy. (I know I did)
I am an Atmospheric Scientist by day and a Spiritual Guide by night.
